BOUCHERVILLE, Quebec — Jacques Landreville, president and chief executive officer of Uni-Select, Inc., yesterday announced several changes to the company’s organizational structure.
Richard Roy, currently vice president, administration and chief financial officer has been appointed to the newly created position of chief operating officer. As part of his duties, Roy will assume responsibility for the management of each of the business units of Uni-Select: Automotive Group Canada, Automotive Group USA and Heavy Duty Group. The appointment of Roy’s successor as CFO is forthcoming and, in the interim, Roy will continue to act in his current capacity.
Michel Laverdure has been appointed vice president, corporate purchasing in place Russell Sturgeon, who retired at the end of 2006. Prior to his appointment, Laverdure was manager, corporate purchasing at Uni-Select.
Michele Raymond has been appointed vice president, Strategic Planning and Market Development, also a newly-created position of Uni-Select’s management. Raymond was previously employed by Uni-Select and has, during the course of her career, acquired relevant experience in marketing and product and services positioning.
Jean-Pierre Beaulieu has been appointed vice president, Management Information Systems, replacing David Alderson who retired in 2006. Beaulieu has approximately 20 years of experience and most recently occupied a similar position with a large-scale manufacturer.
Lastly, Michel Charbonneau is appointed vice president, PBE Market Development. Charbonneau has been extensively involved in the automotive industry and was previously employed by Uni-Select.
