LEBANON, Ohio Trim Parts Holdings Corp. has announced the company’s name change to Restoration Parts Group (RPG) in conjunction with its acquisition of SoffSeal Inc., the leading brand in classic car weatherstripping, rubber extrusions and rubber seals. SoffSeal was founded in 1980 by Gary Anderson in Harrison, Ohio.
With the addition of SoffSeal Inc., RPG has added another company to its ever-expanding family of companies, which already includes Trim Parts, Parts Unlimited Interiors (PUI), The Right Stuff Detailing, Mr. Mustang and First Place Auto Products. RPG is owned by Dubin Clark & Co. Inc., which also owns leading automotive brands Flowmaster, Hurst Shifters, Hurst Driveline, B&M Racing and Dinan Engineering.
“With the acquisition of another industry leader in SoffSeal, rebranding ourselves as the Restoration Parts Group was a no-brainer,” said Mitch Williams, CEO of RPG. “The addition of SoffSeal to RPG is a logical extension of the growth shown by our company in the past few months. While Trim Parts focuses on the exterior components, and PUI specializes in all things interior, SoffSeal are experts in weatherstripping, the point where the exterior and interior meet. We are excited to add them to the RPG family.”
SoffSeal Inc. will continue to operate at its current location in Harrison, Ohio, where it manufactures high-quality weatherstripping products as well as custom-molded parts and rubber components such as pedal pads, bushings, grommets and seals.
Restoration Parts Group Introduces Two VPs
Ben Bowman and Jason Kellams have been named as vice presidents of supply chain management and operations, respectively.
Kellams brings extensive experience and knowledge to the position having worked previously as the VP of operations at Evansville ARC and as the senior manager of manufacturing at Nissan North America. Kellams’ strengths in P&L management, systems development and leadership are key to his new post.
“We are excited to welcome Jason Kellams to the RPG Family,” said Williams. “With his managerial experience from Nissan North America, time heading up the automotive interiors division at Toyota Boshoku, and acting as VP of ops at Evansville ARC, we know that Jason will be a huge asset for RPG as we continue to solidify our place in the restoration industry.”
Previously RPG’s supply chain manager, Bowman has been promoted to vice president of supply chain management. Integral to the company’s growth in the past year, Bowman will be responsible for enacting company-wide supply chain initiatives, sourcing programs and quality assurance standards.
“Ben has been an invaluable resource for RPG over the past year as PUI’s Supply Chain Manager,” said Williams. “He’s taken the supply chain ball at PUI and run with it. In addition to his responsibilities in the role as PUI’s supply chain manager, he’s taken on a plethora of projects that have gone above and beyond the normal call of duty. He was instrumental in instituting PUI’s quality assurance program, implementing the dielectric hell pad project at Trim Parts and was instrumental in the acquisition of Mr. Mustang.”
