Trico Products Introduces New Wiper Blade Program for Service Technicians at AAPEX

Trico premiers the Universal Steel Frame Blade and Trico Tech Universal Beam Blade wiper lines, designed to fit nearly every vehicle and every shop.

LAS VEGAS — Trico Products this week at AAPEX has introduced an all new class of wiper products designed especially for the service technician. The Trico Universal Steel Frame Blade and Trico Tech Universal Beam Blade are designed for the WD/Traditional channel, and offer the benefits of a universal wiper blade program by delivering high quality at a great price point.

The Trico Universal Steel Frame (30 Series) Blade is an all-steel/all-natural rubber construction blade with an aerodynamic steel frame that provides exceptional strength and durability with a precision-cut rubber edge for superior wiping action. This blade is available in lengths ranging from 11” to 28”. It is equipped with a pre-attached universal adaptor to fit 9mm hook, 9×4 hook, side lock and bayonet arms for 95 percent of the makes and models on the road today.

The new Trico Tech Universal Beam Blade is an Advanced Flexible Beam Blade positioned for today’s safety-conscious driver. It features the Memory Curve Steel beam and the exclusive SWIFT easy connection technology. This new blade packs 96 percent coverage in only 10 part numbers (16” to 28”).

“We identified the specific needs of the WD/Traditional channel and developed a program featuring these two new product lines,” said Brian Norko, vice president sales and marketing for Trico Products. “We have developed a specific program for the professional technician to offer quality commercial grade universal beam and conventional blades with easy installation and great technology for their customers.”

“We also learned from consumers that there is a higher level of expectation for quality in today’s driving environment. It becomes more important for drivers to be safely in control and have excellent visibility. These two new universal blade product lines will offer the quality wipe of a premium blade providing the consumer maximum visibility,” said Kevin O’Dowd, global director of marketing.

Trico and Trico Tech will be available with distinctive packaging, marketing support and portable displays. Service technicians nationwide will be supported with strategic consumer communications and sales training.
