Timken Upgrades Technical Customer Training, Expert Advice From Product Specialists

Product specialists provide technical training at customer locations.

CANTON, Ohio — The Timken Co. has trained 24 of its field-based product specialists in a comprehensive new educational program. Timken certified these specialists to deliver technical training and advice to automotive aftermarket customers and technicians.
 
“Timken believes knowledge is the most powerful tool in a technician’s toolbox, so we invest in educational opportunities for our customers and distributors,” said Gregory Sturm, manager of automotive aftermarket product management for Timken. “This training is designed to help our customers and distributors profitably grow their businesses. These new product specialists received in-depth training in bearing design and manufacturing techniques, bearing damage analysis and typical applications, while gaining practical, hands-on experience with installation and repair projects.”
