Auto Suppliers Land on TIME’s Inaugural List of Best Companies

TIME, in partnership with Statista, based the rankings on a formula of revenue growth, employee-satisfaction surveys and ESG, or sustainability, data.

This year, TIME and Statista teamed up to name 750 companies changing the world, and many automotive aftermarket suppliers landed on the list. Those include:

  • No. 86: The Michelin Group
  • No. 152: Stellantis
  • No. 176: Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.
  • No. 179: American Axle & Manufacturing
  • No. 188: ZF Friedrichshafen
  • No. 308: Pirelli
  • No. 353: Aptiv
  • No. 392: Valeo
  • No. 417: AutoZone
  • No. 440: PACCAR
  • No. 451: Lear Corp.
  • No. 488: Bridgestone Corp.
  • No 496: BorgWarner
  • No. 635: Genuine Parts Company

Statista and TIME said they based the rankings on a formula of revenue growth, employee-satisfaction surveys and rigorous environmental, social. and corporate governance (ESG, or sustainability) data.

“The rankings show just who dominates the world economic order, with fast-moving tech and business-services companies unseating the manufacturers and consumer-goods companies that once drove the global economy,” said Alana Semuels, TIME’s senior economics correspondent. “The world’s best companies of 2023 can make things, like their forefathers did, while their employees, shareholders and the planet profit, too.”
