TROY, Mich. — Delphi has announced the appointment of Tim Wheeler as Delphi Product & Service Solutions’ (DPSS) Independent Aftermarket (IAM) North American sales director, effective July 1.
Joining Delphi in 2001 as an independent aftermarket sales manager, Wheeler previously held various positions in aftermarket sales at Federal-Mogul for more than 12 years. Wheeler’s extensive aftermarket experience and passion for the customer will be well suited for the further expansion of Delphi and its team in his new position.
“As a team, we at Delphi feel that the recent appointment of Tim Wheeler as North American sales director is one that will continue to build on the strong foundation that Delphi has established in the independent aftermarket in North America,” said David Barbeau, vice president, independent aftermarket business unit, Delphi Product & Service Solutions.
As the IAM North American Sales Director, Wheeler will be responsible for bringing Delphi’s value proposition to the service dealer network. In his position, he will leverage Delphi’s Original Equipment heritage and electronics to launch new products and technologies in North America.
Wheeler, who previously held the position of DPSS director, Consumer Electronics and IAM Retail Sales, is a graduate of Hope College with a degree in business administration. He also holds a masters degree in business administration from Northwood University.
Delphi Product & Service Solutions’ (DPSS) Independent Aftermarket (IAM) North American Sales Director is a position previously held by Norm Young. Young, who recently accepted a position outside of Delphi, helped make significant contributions in establishing the company as a frontrunner in the automotive aftermarket.
