Third TEMOT International Commercial Vehicles Supplier Summit Receives Positive Response

The participant list comprised 35 of the most renowned supplier brands in the commercial vehicle (CV) industry, including Bosch, ZF, Federal-Mogul, Haldex, Hengst, Knorr, MANN+HUMMEL, Haco, Dana Spicer, Meritor and Valeo.

On Oct. 17-18, TEMOT International held its third annual Commercial Vehicles Supplier Summit in Athens, Greece. More than 100 representatives from leading distributors and suppliers gathered for the occasion, making this year’s event the most successful since its debut in 2015.

They took advantage of the opportunity to network with 25 TEMOT shareholders who address the CV segment in Europe. As a result, the TEMOT Commercial Vehicles Supplier Summit created the framework for more than 500 one-on-one meetings between shareholders and suppliers.

In addition to as acting as a networking platform, this year’s Commercial Vehicles Supplier Summit also presented deep market insights and hinted at the most significant industry trends. On the invitation of TEMOT International, Gary Beecroft, a leading international consultant for the commercial vehicles and trailer segment, described the European market as driven more by replacement of trailers rather than new demand, which would increase the total vehicle parc. New registrations today still remain below the level of 2007. Telematics also was named as a growing trend and challenge for the independent aftermarket.

“TEMOT International identified the potential of the CV market very early on, leading to the invention of a separate business unit for trucks, trailers and busses, which addresses the demands of the supply chain in this challenging sector. As an example, with our 24/7 breakdown service ‘Road Assist,’ we even offer a service developed for this segment,” said Thomas Kobudzinski, vice president of TEMOT and head of the CV business unit. “From year to year, our Commercial Vehicles Supplier Summit has attracted a growing number of participants. This proves our perception that the market lacks networking platforms like this and that such events create value and business opportunities for everyone involved. For the benefit of our shareholders and the suppliers, we are committed to sticking to our unique concept and developing it further.”

Today, the TEMOT Commercial Vehicle Network comprises 39 shareholders from four continents, representing aggregated total revenue of more than 1.6 billion euros (approximately $1.9 billion USD).
