A number of big names in racing have left Ford to race for competing teams, leaving the automaker with fewer NASCAR teams than one of its competitors, Chevrolet.

As Federal-Mogul inches closer to emerging from Chapter 11, news that the company experienced a $50 million increase in sales this year piqued the interest of many AMN readers. Federal-Mogul reported net sales of $1,549 million for the quarter ending Sept. 30, $49 million more than in the same period of 2005.
Genuine Parts Co. (GPC) also experienced a record-setting third quarter. GPC’s third quarter net income was $121.3 million, an increase of 9 percent, compared to $110.9 million for the third quarter of 2005.
