Each week, The Pulse provides insight into the buying, sourcing and brand-loyalty habits of counter personnel and professional technicians. This week, using Babcox Research, we look at the most common types of employee benefits offered by tire dealerships.
In today’s challenging economic environment, American workers have become more discriminating when considering a new employer. Among the top concerns for a new employee is a good benefits package. Paid vacations, life insurance and 401k plans are just a few of the more common benefits job seekers may look for.
According to the 2007 Tire Review Dealer Profile, paid vacations and paid holidays remain the most common benefits offered to employees at tire dealerships. Eighty-six percent of respondents to the survey said they offer paid vacations and holidays. The next two most common benefits offered were uniforms (77 percent) and training (63 percent). Only a small percentage of respondents (4 percent) said they offer no benefits at all.
