Eighty-seven percent of these student techs say they are sought out for advice on vehicle maintenance, where to source parts (63 percent), brands of parts (53 percent) and sources for service (54 percent), among other things.

Methodology:
The Tomorrow’s Technician Student Survey was sent to students with the May issue of Tomorrow’s Technician magazine. The questionnaire was included in the shipment of the magazine sent to 150 randomly chosen schools. Results of the survey are gleaned from responses from 230 students at approximately 34 schools.
