For this week’s "The Pulse," we look at new rolling data from IMR Research that shows the average number of vehicles serviced per week at various repair outlets. The data was compiled from June 2010 to July 2011.
As the chart below illustrates, quick lubes and new car dealers take the lead in highest vehicle turnover each week (on average). Gasoline service stations and general repair shops fall slightly below the median average of 55.6 vehicles serviced per week. Obviously, the number of bays at each location and the type of work performed greatly influence these numbers.
