Tessa Bramer, Top-Scoring SkillsUSA Female, Receives WIN Scholarship To NACE

The WIN scholarship includes airfare, lodging and associated expenses, as well as a full access NACE Expo Pass provided by the Automotive Management Institute (AMI) and ASA. Bramer will be met and mentored by WIN members during the show. She also will receive a 2013-'14 WIN membership.

LEESBURG, Va. – For the seventh year in a row, the Women’s Industry Network (WIN) has awarded a scholarship to attend NACE to the top-scoring female winner at SkillsUSA. This year’s recipient is Tessa Bramer, the highest-scoring female in the Collision Repair Competition.

The WIN scholarship includes airfare, lodging and associated expenses, as well as a full access NACE Expo Pass provided by the Automotive Management Institute (AMI) and ASA. Bramer will be met and mentored by WIN members during the show. She also will receive a 2013-14 WIN membership.

Bramer graduated at the top of her class at Laramie County Community College. She placed first in both the Refinishing and Collision Repair at the SkillsUSA Wyoming Auto Body Contests and second in the SkillsUSA Wyoming Diesel Competition prior to the national competition. As the top scoring female at the National SkillsUSA Collision Repair Contest this summer, she placed eighth among all (male and female) contestants.

“The WIN NACE scholarship goes to the heart of WIN’s mission to support and encourage women who are entering the industry, particularly those in the technical ranks. Surrounded by our amazing WIN members, this scholarship has consistently been a wonderful way to introduce young women to the collision industry,” said Teresa Bolton, director, Collision Repair Test Development at ASE, who also serves as WIN’s Scholarship co-chair.
