Collision Repair Education Foundation Announces Topgolf Jacksonville Fundraiser During April Industry Meetings
The golf fundraiser will be held in conjunction with the Collision Industry Conference taking place later that week and offers an opportunity to help support future collision repair industry professionals.
The Collision Repair Education Foundation (CREF) received donations from BASF, including spray guns, paint, materials and equipment with an estimated value of $200,000 that will support multiple automotive refinish programs and students around the country.
This year’s recipient is Samantha Welch, a high school senior studying collision repair at Greater Southern Tier BOCES Coopers Education Center in Painted Post, New York.
Collision Repair Education Foundation Announces Winners Of Inaugural Top Technician Mentor/Mentee Competition
The goal of the competition was to recognize the performance of the next generation of collision technicians and their mentors on critical skills necessary to repair today’s high tech vehicles.
The 2019 event on July 23 included sponsors and participants enjoying a day of golf at the Brickyard Crossing Golf Course located at historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Indianapolis, Indiana, and generated over $70,000.

During the reception, attendees will hear about the organization’s efforts to support high school and post-secondary collision students, 2019 donors/supporters will be highlighted, and winners of the annual 2019 Collision Repair Education Foundation Benchmark Grants will be announced.
The #100Floors75Days project seeks to build relationships between the local collision industry and their collision repair schools by providing the materials necessary to refinish the schools’ floors during the summer break.
The financial contribution by I-CAR is in addition to the support I-CAR provides to the Education Foundation’s mission through local committees across the country. The monetary contribution assists the Education Foundation’s ability to offer collision school tool, equipment and instructor training grants and student scholarships across the U.S.
