During the recent Global Automotive Aftermarket Symposium in Chicago, it was reported that miles driven has started to rise again slightly after months of decline. In a related AMN Survey last week, we asked readers for their thoughts on the miles driven trend.
When asked whether they thought miles driven would continue to climb, 50 percent said no; they believe that miles driven will go back down again as gas prices rise. Approximately one quarter said they felt miles driven would possibly increase in the economy picks up and just over a quarter clearly believe that miles driven will indeed keep rising.
THIS WEEK’S POLL
Last summer was all about the "staycation" and signs are pointing to fewer vacation travel plans for many Americans again this year. Continuing our conversation about miles driven and fuel prices, tell us: Do you plan to scale back your driving and travel over the summer if gas prices continue climb?
