BOSTON — According to a recent report from BtoB magazine, less than half of the top global brands respond to e-mail correspondence sent to their Web sites.
A research company called Common Sense Advisory conducted a study that tracked response rates for messages sent to the top 100 global brands. The study found that 50 percent of the companies didn’t answer inquiries sent in English. One-third answered Spanish-language inquiries but responded mostly in English. Of those surveyed, sixteen percent offer no e-mail or Web communication for current and prospective customers at all.
