Standard Motor Products To Award $10,000 In Scholarships During Intermotor Import Leader Competition

Standard Motor Products Inc. (SMP) has announced the return of its Intermotor Import Leader Automotive Scholarship Competition, which will present two deserving students with a $5,000 scholarship each. The competition runs through July 15.

Entries will be evaluated based on relevance, creativity and thoughtfulness relating to the automotive import industry. Winners will be selected by July 31.

Phil Hutchens, vice president of engine management marketing, SMP, commented on the scholarships, stating, “SMP is proud to recognize up-and-coming technicians who share Intermotor’s quest for import excellence, and our Intermotor Import Leader Automotive Scholarship is an exciting opportunity to support them.”

The competition is open to legal residents of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Eligible entrants must be between the ages of 18 and 34 and currently enrolled full-time in high school or in an accredited two- or four-year college, university or post-high school educational program.
