CHARLOTTE, NC — SPX Corp. announced today that it has acquired the assets of Cleveland, Ohio-based Actron Manufacturing Co. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Actron produces automotive test equipment and instrumentation under the Actron, KAL-EQUIP and Faze brand names, among others. The company has annual revenues of approximately $35 million.
The business will be integrated into the SPX’s Service Solutions segment. Service Solutions designs, manufactures and markets special service tools, advanced diagnostic and shop equipment and technical information for vehicle servicing and maintenance.
David Kowalski, president of Service Solutions, said adding the business is a good fit. “This addition provides Service Solutions with the capability to offer a full spectrum of test equipment and strengthens our access to the retail channel,” he noted.
