Sidney Del Gaudio Named New President and CEO of Melling do Brasil

Del Gaudio will be responsible for coordinating all company activities in the South America region focused on growth and increasing product portfolio, as well as diversifying the customer base and market segments.

DIADEMA SAO PAULO, Brasil — Sidney Del Gaudio has been appointed president and CEO of Melling do Brasil as of Feb. 1. He reports directly to Mark Melling.

In this capacity, Del Gaudio will be responsible for coordinating all company activities in the South America region focused on growth and increasing product portfolio, as well as diversifying the customer base and market segments.

Del Gaudio, with more than 30 years of experience in the auto industry, previously served as a president of Meritor Suspension Systems, a J/V with Mitsubishi Steel; and vice-president and general manager for ArvinMeritor Undercarriage System. Prior to taking leadership of the ArvinMeritor Wheels Business, he also served two years as the president of TI Walbro Automotive in Brazil. Prior to that role, Del Gaudio served 15 years as vice-president of Dana Corp. in Brazil.

Del Gaudio holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Osvaldo Cruz University in São Paulo, Brazil, as well as executive development programs at Stanford University, Pennsylvania State University and Fundação Getulio.
