Among the new parts are right and left front lower control arms featuring premium-quality integral MOOG ball joints for more than 1.1 million four-wheel-drive Dodge Dakota (2000-2004) and Durango (2000-2003) models and more than 7.7 million GM light trucks and SUVs, including Cadillac Escalade and Chevrolet Avalanche, Express 1500 and 2500, and Silverado 1500 applications ranging from the 1999 through 2008 model years.

Cooper-Standard Automotive Acquires Stake in Guyoung Technology

Cooper-Standard Automotive has acquired a 20 percent equity interest in Guyoung Technology Co., Ltd. Guyoung supplies metal stamped products to Korean vehicle manufacturers and currently provides Cooper-Standard with stampings for NVH components such as control arms and links. Cooper-Standard established a technical agreement with Guyoung for the development of suspension components in June 2004. Under the new agreement, Cooper-Standard and Guyoung will cooperate in supplying stampings and NVH components to OEM manufacturers worldwide.

Metaldyne Expands Technical Capabilities in Plymouth, Mich.

Metaldyne has opened a new 27,000-square-foot technical center in Plymouth, Mich., which will be dedicated to the company’s chassis group. The facility will house chassis group personnel including finance, human resources, product engineering, program management, quality and testing. A 13,000-square-foot test lab will serve as the design and development center for products such as chassis suspension components, wheel-end assemblies, ball joints and control arms.
