Ted Wise of O’Reilly Auto Parts to Address AASA’s Breakfast at AAPEX
Ted Wise, co-president and COO of O’Reilly Automotive Inc., Springfield, MO, will address the Executive Breakfast presented by the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA) at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 30, the kick-off event at Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) in Las Vegas. Wise will be the featured speaker at the third annual event offered by AASA on the opening day of AAPEX. The breakfast is sponsored by Ernst & Young and will be held at The Venetian.
O’Reilly Auto Parts, Ozark Automotive Distributors Announce New Independent Jobber Program
As announced earlier this week in conjunction with O’Reilly’s departure from Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance, a new jobber program, Parts City Auto Parts, has been created for the independent jobber customers of O’Reilly/Ozark Automotive. This new program will provide marketing and advertising programs that are based on a dual market strategy designed to grow sales with the retail and installer customer base. O’Reilly/Ozark Independent Jobber Auto Value and Bumper to Bumper Stores will be converted to the new Parts City program by the end of 2007.

O’Reilly Auto Parts and Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance (Alliance) announce with great regret that after almost 30 years of affiliation O’Reilly will be terminating its shareholder status effective Dec. 31, 2007. O’Reilly also announced a new jobber marketing program for all of its independent jobbers. It will be called “Parts City Auto Parts” and will have strong ties to the O’Reilly Auto Parts programs, advertising and appearance.

Charles H. “Chub” O’Reilly, co-founder of O’Reilly Auto Parts, died Wednesday, April 20. He was 92. The business O’Reilly and his father, Charles F. O’Reilly, started in 1957 with 13 employees is today a multimillion-dollar corporation with 1183 stores in 18 states.
