NTEA Names New Board of Trustees

NTEA Report Reveals Significant Gap Between Typical and Highly Profitable Distributorships
The National Truck Equipment Association has released its 2005 National Truck Equipment Association Distributor Profit Survey Report. The report cites that the typical commercial truck and transportation equipment distributor had sales of $4,786,653 and a pre-tax profit of 2.7% in 2004. In contrast, the high-profit distributor had sales of $4,934,487 and a pre-tax profit of 8.6% during the same period of time. The report also features detailed financial results of truck equipment distribution firms, as well as providing comprehensive, straightforward guidelines for analyzing profitability.
