ASE, AYES, SkillsUSA to Offer Co-Branded Exams
The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE), Automotive Youth Educational Systems (AYES) and Skills USA have announced an agreement to provide co-branded end of program exams for students in secondary and post-secondary automotive technology programs. The new exams will merge the well-known NATEF End-of-Program tests into a joint offering from the three groups.
I-CAR and AkzoNobel Announce Sixth Annual Scholarship Program
For the sixth consecutive year, the I-CAR Education Foundation, in conjunction with AkzoNobel Coatings Inc. and "The Most Influential Women of the Collision Repair Industry," have announced their scholarship program for female collision repair students. On behalf of "The Most Influential Women of the Collision Repair Industry," AkzoNobel Coatings Inc. has chosen to donate funds to the I-CAR Education Foundation for scholarships to create additional opportunities for women in the collision industry.
Fristoe Named CCAR President and COO; Stewart Named EVP
The Coordinating Committee For Automotive Repair (CCAR) has announced new leadership for the organization’s staff, based at its headquarters in Overland Park, Kan. Daren Fristoe has been named CCAR’s new president and chief operating officer. Robert Stewart, who previously served as CCAR president, has been appointed to the position of executive vice president.
UTI Announces $10 Million Student Loan Program
Universal Technical Institute (UTI) has developed a $10 million private loan initiative designed to help students facing the challenges of bridging the tuition gap in today’s tight credit market. The program assists select students who have exhausted traditional Title IV student financial aid eligibility, are unable to qualify for credit-based loan programs, and therefore may not otherwise be able to attend UTI.
Archie Manning to Keynote ASRW Events Ã′®‚¬®€ NACE and CARS
