Brake Parts Inc. Acquired By Investor Group

Brake Parts Inc. (BPI) has announced it is now officially under new ownership. Following the spin-off of the business to shareholders in November 2012 by parent company Affinia Group, BPI announced today it has been acquired by a group of investors led by Torque Capital Group, a New York-based private equity firm. The company is being led by President and CEO David Overbeeke (pictured).

ARI Names New Director of Warehouse Management

American Remanufacturers Inc. (ARI) announced that Sam Ornelas has joined the company as the new director of warehouse management. Ornelas brings 21 years of aftermarket distribution experience to ARI. Ornelas formerly served as the warehouse manager for Brake Parts Inc. (BPI) in McHenry, Ill. His previous experience at BPI included managing more than 56,000 SKUs and millions of dollars in inventory.

Tom O’Brien Joins ARI

Tom O’Brien, former vice president of marketing at Dana Brake and Chassis, has joined ARI as vice president sales, special markets. In this new position, O’Brien will be responsible for national accounts, co-manufacturers, OE service and export sales for all ARI divisions.
