Affinia Under Vehicle Group Announces New Series of Training Programs

The Affinia Under Vehicle Group has announced a series of upcoming training programs available to service technicians across the country. A variety of accredited courses are available throughout the year at the company’s McHenry , IL , training center and through field training modules. The cost of training is less than $15 per hour, and students’ progress will be measured through examinations and training laboratory demonstrations.

ANN ARBOR , MI The Affinia Under Vehicle Group has announced a series of upcoming training programs available to service technicians across the country.

“By continuing to educate our talented service technicians, we can uphold and elevate the highest levels of quality performance Raybestos brand brakes, Aimco brakes, Spicer chassis and McQuay-Norris chassis customers have come to expect,” said Ken Myers, marketing manager of branded products for Raybestos brand brakes, part of the Affinia Under Vehicle Group’s family of brands. “These flexible and affordable training programs also can help increase employee safety and morale, along with customer satisfaction, while helping reduce an employer’s liability insurance and worker compensation costs.”

A variety of accredited courses are available throughout the year at the company’s McHenry , IL , training center and through field training modules. Training Center programs include Brake Systems Diagnosis and Repair; ASE Brake Test Preparation; Brake Lathe and Equipment; Brake System Diagnosis and Installation Procedures; Servicing Brakes on ABS –Equipped Vehicles; Fundamentals of Electricity; Kelsey Hayes, Delphi & Teves ABS Systems; and ABS Advanced Diagnostic and Service. Programs range from eight to 32 hours and include lunch.

Field Training modules include: Brake Systems Analysis and Repair ABS Hands-on; Servicing Brakes on ABS Equipped Vehicles; Domestic and Import BS Service Tips; ABS Brake Test Preparation; ABS Electronics Diagnostics.

Chassis Training curriculum includes: Chassis & Suspension Update; Chassis & Suspension Hands-On; ASE Suspension and Steering Test Preparation; and Chassis and Alignment Diagnostics & Installation Procedures.

“Companies that participate in these training and certifications programs, which are administered by NATEF Certified instructors, will initiate a proactive approach to ensuring customer satisfaction through higher-quality service,” Myers said. “Their service centers also will benefit from a more educated and informed workforce, which improves the image of the service personnel, as well as the entire aftermarket repair industry.”
