MAP Introduces New, Web-Based Training
The Motorist Assurance Program adds an online training module and assessment for technicians and service advisers.
Motorist.org Adds Carfax Vehicle Service Tracking Tool
The service, which allows motorists to keep maintenance histories for vehicles in their households automatically and for free, also provides alerts about safety recalls, warranty information, email reminders about recommended services, access to service history and other vehicle service-related information.
AASP-MN Awards $17,000 In Scholarships
The scholarships were in the amount of $1,000 per student, and were made possible by a successful fundraising drive within the AASP-MN membership, as well as a generous donation from the Minnesota state I-CAR Committee. All recipients will be entering the second year of a NATEF-certified automotive program based in Minnesota.

August is MAP Brake Safety Awareness Month
Each installment of Brake Safety Awareness Month has brought increased participation by consumers. During the 2010 event, an average facility performed repairs on more than 50 percent of the vehicles inspected.

The MAP Advisory Council, created in October 2010, is an independent self-governing body, which advises the AMRA Board of Directors on all MAP-related matters, concerns and issues identified by the council.
