Scott Schumacker Joins The Babcox Media Sales Team Focusing On Fleet Equipment

AKRON, Ohio — Babcox Media announced that Scott Schumacker has accepted a position as territory sales manager for the Fleet Equipment brand, starting Monday, Feb. 2, and reporting to Publisher Dean Martin. Schumacker brings more than 28 years of publishing sales experience to Babcox Media and Fleet Equipment.

Schumacker’s accomplished sales, account management and customer service experiences in the heavy-duty truck market will serve him well in his new sales position with Fleet Equipment. He will be responsible for selling Fleet Equipment print, digital and custom products, while bringing a fresh and unique perspective to the publication.

“We’re excited to have Scott join the Fleet Equipment team,” said Martin. “His proven track record as a leading sales person and depth of publishing experience are tremendous assets to Fleet Equipment as the publication continues to grow.”

Schumacker’s sales background includes time spent as an account director for the likes of InformationWeek Magazine, Customer First Portfolio, as well as marketing manager for Machine Design Magazine. Most recently, Schumacker led sales for Great Lakes Publishing, based in Cleveland, Ohio, and was an advertising consultant for City Visitor Communications, exceeding sales goals and growing new accounts. Schumacker graduated, with honors, with a dual major in marketing and management from Northwood University. He also is a certified Dale Carnegie Trainer and Executive Coach.
