Scott Andersen Joins MEDCO to Lead Mobile Tool Business

PHILADELPHIA, PA — MEDCO announced that Scott Andersen joined the company on March 27 as director of marketing for the company’s mobile tool division.

Andersen joined MEDCO from SK Tools where he was senior product marketing manager and a member of the executive committee. Prior to joining SK, Andersen spent eight years at MATCO, a division of Danaher.

For his new role at MEDCO, Andersen will relocate to the Philadelphia area where MEDCO is headquartered, while spending a considerable amount of time in St. Louis and Southern California, the two major hubs of the MEDCO mobile tool operation.

“We are committed to being the best resource for mobile tool dealers, whether they are independent or affiliated,” said Richard Bell, president of MEDCO. “The addition of Scott Andersen, with his significant product knowledge and intimate understanding of the needs of mobile tool dealers, will accelerate our goal of becoming the supplier of choice for this important community.”

Andersen’s appointment comes on the heels of the MEDCO acquisition of California-based Triple A Tool, bringing the total number of warehouses MEDCO operates by across the country to 10. The company now services mobile tool dealers across the continental U.S. and said it intends to grow that business in both number of dealers and in product offerings.

According to Andersen, the decision to join MEDCO was based on both experience and reputation. “I know MEDCO from firsthand experience, and I see how focused they are on growth and people. Equally important, they have a vision and a plan that I can respect and embrace,” he said.
