According to a report in the Daily Hampshire Gazette, supporters of the initiative petition say it would “update” a state law that requires car manufacturers to share diagnostic and repair information with vehicle owners and independent repair shops.

Voters in Massachusetts may again be asked to weigh in on state rules concerning auto maintenance and repairs.
