WINCHESTER, Va. — Remy International, Inc. recently presented a check for $15,000 to executives of the Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance in support of the Alliance’s Charity Cars program.
The Charity Cars program benefits victims of domestic violence and abuse by enabling them to work toward financial independence through the donation of refurbished cars. The Charity Cars program is expected to present vehicles to more than 500 recipients in 2008.
Gary Bostic, director of sales for Remy International, presented the check to Alliance President and CEO Dick Morgan and Senior Vice President of Marketing and Advertising Steve Marks during the Alliance’s summer shareholders meeting in Nashville.
“We are very pleased to present this donation on behalf of all Alliance shareholder businesses who are Remy customers as well as Remy employees around the world,” Bostic said. “This is a great program that combines the resources and expertise of leading industry organizations to provide reliable transportation to citizens who need and deserve it.”
Remy and other participating organizations will solicit vehicle donations from customers.
