Raybestos Promotion Winners Enjoy the Best of California Wine Country

Winery tours, fine dining and IZOD IndyCar racing highlighted the trip.

MCHENRY, Ill. — This past weekend, winners of the Raybestos brand IZOD IndyCar Series themed “Speed Into Savings” spring promotion enjoyed an unforgettable trip to California’s Sonoma and Napa Valley.

Raybestos customer winners were treated to guided tours and tastings at several area wineries, including a stop to sample both Andretti and Foyt Family wines — families already well known for their talent in racing, who are now also demonstrating their talent as winemakers in Napa Valley. The wine country tour ended with a private dinner event held at Robert Simon’s spectacular AKA Bistro in St. Helena, Calif. www.akabistro.com

A full day at the racetrack on Sunday provided the Raybestos customer winners with an insider’s look at IZOD IndyCar Series racing. The group received a private tour of the IndyCar Tech Inspection garage, team garages, pit/paddock area and enjoyed trackside hospitality for the race courtesy of Raybestos team technical partner KV Racing.

“It was just the best hosts, travel and accommodations – the trip could not have gone more smoothly,” said guest Mike Rethlake, of Southside Marathon Inc., in Kokomo, Ind. Guests Sandra Perrin and Michael Woods of Woody’s Auto Parts in Hot Springs, Mont., added that from wine country to the VIP race experience, “Everything was fantastic — we had no wasted moments and partied like rock stars!”

The Speed Into Savings promotion celebrates Raybestos brand’s distinguished history in open wheel racing, where today many of the world’s most demanding teams and drivers rely on Raybestos racing brake pads throughout every IZOD IndyCar Series road and street course race weekend.
