Prestolite Performance Focuses on Product Innovation with New Managers

Auto parts manufacturer adds two managers to further dedicate efforts to new product development.

CLEVELAND – Prestolite Performance, maker of brands including Mr. Gasket, ACCEL, Lakewood and Mallory, recently named Jeremy Weilnau as Lakewood product manager and Christopher Whitworth as assistant ACCEL product manager.
 
“We are looking forward to the new staff bringing their skills and experience to the company, enhancing the team and our product offering,” said Rob Koller, brand manager for the company. “With these additional members, our company will be able to propel our four key brands to the next level with new technologies, new products and the same industry-leading quality.”
 
Whitworth joins the team with more than three years of automotive aftermarket experience and will manage research and development as well as new product launches for the ACCEL brand. Before coming to Prestolite Performance, the Eastlake, Ohio, resident served as road race sales manager at Hawk Performance, an aftermarket brake manufacturer. He also has a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Kent State University.
 
As a new product manager, Weilnau will oversee the management, development and growth of the Lakewood product lines in addition to QuickTime and Hays products. Weilnau has 13 years of experience in original equipment automotive and aerospace, with a previous position as a program engineer at Tenneco Automotive. The Huron, Ohio, resident is also a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers and has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Kettering University.
