Polk Appoints Alice Miles Vice President, Global Data Acquisition

SOUTHFIELD, MI — R. L. Polk & Co. has appointed Alice Miles as vice president, global data acquisition. In this role, Miles will be responsible for managing and facilitating ongoing data acquisition efforts worldwide. Miles will report to Pat Barrett, senior vice president – business development, government relations and legal services.

Prior to joining Polk, Miles served as director, corporate business strategy for Ford Motor Co. While at Ford, she led global and regional business studies, managed competitive research of global automotive markets and developed board-level strategic plans. From 2000-2002, Miles also served as co-CEO of Covisint, an automotive industry Internet exchange.

Miles is active in the community as a member of Gleaners Community Food Bank Board of Directors and the Wayne State University School of Liberal Arts and Science Board of Visitors. Miles has received many awards during her career, including Crain’s Detroit Business Newsmakers of the Year (2000) and was named one of Automotive News’ 100 Leading Women (2000).
