Penray Honors Sales Executives Mike Goodheart And Bill Wicker With Lifetime Achievement Awards

The two sales execs shared nearly a century of service to the company.

WHEELING, Ill. – The Penray Companies Inc. has honored two sales executives, Mike Goodheart and Bill Wicker, with its Lifetime Achievement Award. The award recognizes Penray associates whose careers yield exceptional achievements in meeting and exceeding sales goals, customer satisfaction, interpersonal relationships with company associates and other criteria. Penray is a leading supplier of service chemicals, functional fluids and Need Release Coolant Filters to the automotive, industrial and heavy-duty truck markets. Left to right: Goodheart and Wicker

Goodheart, who retired after a 39-year career with Penray, was not only a very successful sales executive, but also deeply involved in the industry, particularly in the heavy-duty and fleet arenas. A longtime member of the Technology and Maintenance Council (TMC), Goodheart was a Recognized Associate of TMC and received the organization’s highest honor, the Silver Spark Plug Award. In addition, Goodheart was a recipient of The Shoemaker Award presented by Midwest Wheel Companies, one of the largest truck parts distributors in the Midwest.

“The recognition by customers and industry associations attests to Mike’s character and commitment,” said Randy Fowler, vice president of sales for Penray. “Those accolades, coupled with his decades of sales success with Penray, make him a very special person indeed.”

Bill Wicker received the Lifetime Achievement Award on the occasion of his retirement after some 46 years of service to Penray. In that time, Wicker dealt with hundreds of customer companies and made thousands of industry friends. His warm demeanor and quick wit helped him open many doors, and his ability to relate to customers and their needs helped assure his sales success over many decades.

“Bill’s work embodied the Penray spirit in all of his work on our behalf,” said Fowler. “Extensive product knowledge, great people skills and a sense of humor all allowed Bill to develop and keep long-term relationships with his customers and co-workers, which is the Penray way. His body of work serves as a model for all who will follow in his footsteps.”

Penray’s products, all made in the U.S., include a broad array of service chemicals, functional fluids, fuel treatments, cooling system products including Need-Release cooling system filters, and other service and maintenance chemicals available throughout the U.S. and Canada. Penray products are distributed through automotive, heavy-duty and industrial markets, as well as to international and private label customers.
