Ford, Chevy and Toyota Have the Highest Volume of Aftermarket-Ready Cars, According to Experian VIO Data
Experian Automotive’s latest quarterly analysis shows where greatest non-warranty work exists for the aftermarket. Overall, approximately 85.6 percent of vehicles on the road are out of warranty, which consists of a growth of nearly 5.5 million vehicles from the same period last year.
Automotive Distribution Network Elects New Chairman
The Network membership has elected its new chairman: Danny Ward, president of Atlanta-based Southeastern Automotive Warehouse (SAW). Addressing the membership for the first time as chairman, Ward introduced his son Blake, who recently joined SAW, the company started by Danny’s father, Bill, in 1965.

Ferde Sanders is the aftermarket manager for Brembo North America based in Plymouth, Mich. He joined Brembo in 2007 as part of the Hayes Lemmerz brake division acquisition. Prior to his current position, Sanders worked in OEM sales and product engineering. He has been in the automotive industry for 20 years and the brake industry for the past 13 years. TRW Continues to Drive Affordable Safety with Low-Cost Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensor
The new design, which TRW says results in significantly lowered costs for the system, features a valve that screws directly into the housing, allowing for a single housing with multiple valve design capability. This results in fewer parts and higher reliability than using a screw and nut, according to the company.
