NASTF Recognized in Massachusetts Right to Repair Law
This week, with the passage of the Right to Repair bill in Massachusetts, the National Automotive Service Task Force (NASTF) has announced it will continue to play a role in mediating the process of information accessibility between automakers and repair shops.
Skip Potter Named New NASTF Executive Director
Potter will assume the day-to-day management of NASTF as of July 1. He most recently served as Executive Director/CEO of the Chesapeake Automotive Business Association (CABA), and CEO of the Automotive Aftermarket Employee Federal Credit Union.

Ron Pyle, president and chief staff officer, Automotive Service Association in Bedford, Texas, is chair, with Allen Pennebaker, president of Orinda Motors in Orinda, Calif., and past-president of the Automotive Service Councils of California, as vice chair.
NASTF to Hold Fall General Meeting Oct. 10 in Las Vegas
This year’s Fall meeting features the usual committee updates, along with a panel discussion titled “Maximizing the Value of the SDRM.” The Secure Data Release Model (SDRM) is currently used to access secure data such as key codes and pin codes.
