Meineke Car Care Centers and Comdata Bring New Fleet Team Maintenance Services Online
Meineke Car Care Centers has partnered with Comdata Corp., a provider of electronic payment systems for the transportation industry, to create a data logging system that will provide online maintenance service tracking for Meineke’s commercial fleet customers throughout the U.S. and Canada, at no additional cost to the customer.
CTNA Drops Sponsorship of Continental Tire Bowl; Meineke Takes Over Sponsorship
Continental Tire North America (CTNA) has dropped its sponsorship of the Continental Tire Bowl, ending a three-year run as title sponsor after its contract with Raycom Sports ended Dec. 30, 2004. The Continental Tire Bowl, held in CTNA hometown of Charlotte, N.C., had been a showcase promotional event for the tiremaker. Meineke Car Care Centers, also based in Charlotte, signed on to take over title sponsorship of the event, which has been renamed the Meineke Car Care Bowl. Financial terms of the three-year contract were not disclosed.
New Repair Franchise Acquires South Daytona Meineke Car Care Center
A relatively new service and repair chain called RepairOne Automotive Concepts has signed a purchase agreement to acquire the Meineke Car Care Center in South Daytona, Fla., within the month. RepairOne is a privately held company based in Daytona Beach, Fla., formed to create automotive repair and service center stores franchised under the “RepairOne” name. The company is an established retailer in the Florida and Texas markets with locations in densely populated, suburban areas.
Meineke Raises $43,000 for Children’s Miracle Network
Charlotte, NC-based Meineke Car Care Centers recently donated more than $43,000 to the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) during the charity’s Annual Broadcast on June 5th and 6th. Now in its 7th year as a CMN sponsor, the Meineke chain has contributed more than $500,000 to Children’s Miracle Network, which supports children’s hospitals across the U.S. and Canada.
