Federated Financial Corp. of America Acquires Auto Matic Transmission International, Mr. Transmission

Business investment firm Federated Financial Corp. of America (FFCOA) has purchased Auto Matic Transmission International (AMT) and Mr. Transmission (Mr. T) from Delco Remy International. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. AMT remanufactures automatic transmissions for both passenger and commercial vehicles for the Scandinavian independent aftermarket, OE import and local dealers, as well as the Danish state railways. AMT specializes in both heavy-duty and European light-duty markets.

Exide Technologies CEO to Resign, Company Names New CFO

Craig Muhlhauser, president and CEO of Exide Technologies, has announced he will leave the company on or before April 1, 2005. Mulhauser did not provide a reason for his resignation, other than to say that with the company’s successful emergence from Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings and with a new board in place it was time for him to pursue new opportunities.

Joseph Felicelli has been appointed to the position of executive vice president, worldwide aftermarket operations for Federal-Mogul. Since 2001, Felicelli has served as senior vice president, worldwide aftermarket operations, with responsibility for Federal-Mogul’s global aftermarket operations, including sales, marketing, distribution and logistics, as well as manufacturing for chassis and brake hard parts, fuel, wipers, ignition and lighting products.
