Hayes Lemmerz International, Inc. has announced that James Yost has been promoted to the new position of executive vice president and chief financial officer. He previously served the company as vice president, finance and chief financial officer. Yost is responsible for the global finance and information technology functions. He will continue to report to Curtis Clawson, president, CEO and chairman of the board.

Steve True Named Vice President, infoLAB Automotive Practice

infoLAB Inc. has named Steve True vice president, automotive practice. He will be responsible for customer development in the United States and Canada. True will report to Brian Guerin, infoLAB president. Prior to joining infoLAB, True served as sales director for OEConnection, where he led the creation of a national network of tire distributors (including TCI, Goodyear Wholesale Tire Centers and Am-Pac Tire Distributors) to participate in online ordering from the Ford and General Motors dealer networks.

Paul Wilbur Named President and CEO of Two High-Performance Companies

Hancock Park Associates, the primary investor in Saleen Inc., recently completed the acquisition of assets of American Specialty Cars Incorporated (ASC). Paul Wilbur, current president and CEO of ASC, has been appointed to the role of president and CEO of Saleen, as well. In the near-term, both ASC and Saleen will remain as separate companies, although the long-term vision is to strategically integrate the two operations, the companies said.

GKN Driveline Torque Technology is Awarded First Chery Contract

GKN Driveline Torque Technology has been awarded a contract to supply power transfer units (PTUs) to Chery, China’s largest independent car manufacturer. The contract is for an SUV due for launch in 2009. The new PTU is planned to be assembled at GKN Driveline Torque Technology’s new Kangkiao manufacturing facility. Components will be primarily sourced in China, except for the hypoid gear set, which will be produced in the company’s Nagoya facility in Japan.

ITW Appoints New Executive Vice President

Illinois Tool Works’ (ITW) Board of Directors has elected Jane Warner to executive vice president of the global finishing and software businesses. "Jane has a proven operating and management track record and we are pleased to have her lead our growing finishing and software businesses," said David Speer, chairman and chief executive officer. "Her promotion now gives us a total of 10 executive vice presidents who will continue to be prime architects of ITW’s successful growth in the years ahead."
