Coni-Seal Subsidiary Offers More Details on the Qualitee International Acquisition

Last week it was announced that Qualitee International was acquired by AutoPartSource, a subsidiary of Roscigno Industries Inc. of Iselin, NJ. Roscigno is a holding company led by Frank Pagano, CEO of Coni-Seal, Lakewood, NJ. The new company, AutoPartSource, will remain headquartered in Richmond, Va., and will continue as a stand alone company, focused on the distribution of brake and clutch products to the undercar segment of the aftermarket.

Qualitee International Names Chris Kern Director of Marketing

Aftermarket industry veteran Chris Kern has joined Qualitee International as Director of Marketing. Kern replaces Jerry Brosilow, who died in May. An AIA Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, Kern has been involved in the automotive aftermarket for 29 years. He has held sales and marketing management positions with Beck/Arnley Worldparts and Autopart International.

Advance Reaches $1 Billion in Commercial Sales

Advance Auto Parts announced it has reached a milestone of $1 billion in commercial sales during a single fiscal year, excluding Autopart International stores. In addition, 2006 marks the 10th anniversary of the launch of the company’s commercial sales program. As of the end of the company’s third quarter on Oct. 7, 2,398 Advance stores operated a commercial delivery program, which represented approximately 81 percent of the company’s store base; and commercial sales comprised approximately 23 percent of total sales in Advance Auto Parts stores.
