Advance Auto Parts, Worldpac Announce Return of STX 2024

The Supplier & Training Expo will feature 350+ technical and business courses, a supplier expo and networking.

Advance Auto Parts and Worldpac, a wholly-owned Advance subsidiary, announced that registration is open for the 2024 Supplier & Training Expo (STX). Taking place in Nashville at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center, April 24-28, 2024, STX offers attendees the largest variety of business management and advanced technical training classes covering more vehicle makes and models than any other automotive aftermarket training event in North America, the companies say.

This will be the largest STX to date, with Worldpac and Advance hosting more than 3,500 technicians, shop owners, service writers, manufacturers, suppliers and students. The biennial training event will feature more than 350 courses led by 160 of the world’s top OEM instructors and expert instructors from Worldpac Training Institute and Carquest Technical Institute. STX will include curriculum on high voltage vehicles and ADAS technologies, helping attendees increase their knowledge on repairing today’s complex, technology-dependent vehicles.

“We received overwhelmingly positive feedback following last year’s Supplier & Training Expo, and our goal is to make next year even more productive for our customers,” said Bob Cushing, Advance’s executive vice president, professional and president of Worldpac. “Many of our customers close their shops to attend, underscoring the importance of our extensive automotive training. Our mission is to provide customers with comprehensive, industry-leading technical and business training to grow their businesses, along with the opportunity to learn from manufacturers about their best-in-class products at our supplier expo.”

Attendees will participate in six courses over three days of training, with the ability to customize their own learning curriculum based on profession and skill level. Along with training on hybrid, electric vehicle and ADAS technologies, STX will include management and financial training for shop owners, diagnostic skills courses and manufacturer-specific instruction.

Worldpac hosted the first STX in 2009 in Orlando, FL. Since its inception, STX has offered comprehensive, manufacturer-specific training to independent and specialist shops across North America. All courses are led by subject matter experts, with instructors from the U.S., Europe, Australia, and Asia sharing their expertise with attendees.

Next year will mark the seventh edition of STX. Along with robust curriculum planned for 2024, Worldpac and STX will welcome more than 150 original equipment and aftermarket brands, and tool and equipment manufacturers, to the supplier expo. With the expo occurring in the evening hours, attendees can spend more time networking and learning from suppliers, according to Worldpac and STX.

To register for STX 2024, customers must have an active account with Advance, Worldpac, Carquest or Autopart International.
