This industry association cooperation will allow students interested in aftermarket careers to submit one application for 2008 scholarships online at www.automotivescholarships.org and receive consideration for the following scholarships: Association of Diesel Specialist (ADS), Automotive Aftermarket Association of the Carolinas and Tennessee (AAACT), Automotive Parts & Service Alliance (APSA), the Breslow Foundation, California/Nevada Automotive Wholesalers’ Association (CAWA) and Global Automotive Aftermarket Symposium (GAAS).

IHRA and ADRL Pro Modified driver Harold Martin – known as the “EFI Wizard” – is taking on a new role. Outside of his career as entrepreneur and engineer, ACDelco-sponsored Pontiac racer Martin is taking on a new role for ACDelco: youth outreach. At select dates on the IHRA and ADRL race circuits, Martin is encouraging young people to pursue careers in automotive technology, spreading the word about the demand for qualified technicians. He also is promoting the ACDelco – Harold Martin “Pros Who Know” Scholarship Program, which awards four high-school seniors each a $2,500 scholarship for first-year expenses at an accredited vocational school, trade school, college or university.
