Clarcor First Quarter Earnings Rise 1 Percent, Amid Weather-Related Shipping Delays
Clarcor Inc., which makes industrial and automotive filters, has said its first-quarter profit rose just over 1 percent, as sales were hampered by shipping delays. Clarcor posted earnings of $16.4 million, for the quarter ended March 3, up from $16.2 million, in the year ago-period. Revenue dipped to $209.5 million from $213.2 million in the year-ago quarter. Weather-related delays slowed truck and rail traffic, including a snowstorm that causes a manufacturing plant to be closed for several days.
