Airtex Products VP of Sales Dave Cavanaugh Retires, Ray Swetman to Succeed Him
David Cavanaugh, vice president of sales at Airtex Products, announced that he will retire as of Sept. 1. Cavanaugh spent 18 years of his career with Airtex, joining the company in 1984 as master division sales manager. He was appointed vice president of sales in January 1997 and has directed overall sales and marketing efforts for the company since that time.
Airtex Plant Facing Strike
Talks between Airtex Products and the United Auto Workers Local 543 failed to produce an agreement Thursday night, resulting in a strike at the company’s three auto parts plants in Fairfield, Ill. The five-year contract expired at midnight Thursday without an agreement, affecting 539 hourly union members.
