Airtex Products VP of Sales Dave Cavanaugh Retires, Ray Swetman to Succeed Him

David Cavanaugh, vice president of sales at Airtex Products, announced that he will retire as of Sept. 1. Cavanaugh spent 18 years of his career with Airtex, joining the company in 1984 as master division sales manager. He was appointed vice president of sales in January 1997 and has directed overall sales and marketing efforts for the company since that time.

FAIRFIELD, IL — David Cavanaugh, vice president of sales at Airtex Products, announced that he will retire as of Sept. 1. Cavanaugh spent 18 years of his career with Airtex, joining the company in 1984 as master division sales manager. He was appointed vice president of sales in January 1997 and has directed overall sales and marketing efforts for the company since that time.

In conjunction with Cavanaugh’s retirement, the company announced that Ray Swetman will succeed Cavanaugh as vice president of sales and marketing. In this new position, Swetman will be responsible for all domestic and export sales, marketing, customer service and product management functions.

Swetman has more than thirty years of experience in the automotive market, with more than fourteen years at Federal-Mogul, where he most recently served as sales and marketing manager, special markets. Swetman also spent 15 years at Genuine Parts Co., and prior to joining Federal-Mogul was director of marketing for R.E. Dietz Co., based in Syracuse, New York.
