The suit claims that an Argus product violates a patent exclusively licensed by Midtronics. The suit was filed in U.S. District Court in Chicago.

Remy Amicably Resolves Patent Dispute

Remy International says it has “amicably” resolved a dispute with APEKS International, Inc. of Norcross, GA, concerning certain U.S. Patents owned or licensed by Remy, which protect its proprietary automotive alternator and starter motor technology. Under terms of the settlement, APEKS has agreed to purchase all of its new CS-130 and CS-130D type alternators and new PG-260 starters from approved Remy supply channels. APEKS has also made a settlement payment to Remy and has acknowledged the validity and enforceability of the Remy alternator and starter patents.

Modine Creates Product-Focused Group to Support Truck and Off-Highway HVAC Markets

Modine Manufacturing has created a new product-focused group to support the company’s efforts targeting the heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment needs of the truck and off-highway markets. The company also announced a plan to relocate its Harrodsburg, KY-based research and development facility into its technology center in Racine, WI. The new group’s R&D activities, along with systems and applications engineering, will be located in Racine. HVAC production will remain in Harrodsburg.
