AIM Expands Technical Support Department
To better support its customers’ technical service requirements, AIM has expanded its technical support department that includes the appointment of Melody Smith as a technical support assistant. This appointment enables AIM’s technical support manager, Chad Janes, to spend more time supporting customers in the field.
Right to Repair Legislation Introduced in Nevada
The California/Nevada Automotive Wholesalers’ Association (CAWA) recently co-sponsored the Nevada Aftermarket Industry Legislative Day to meet and educate legislators about the automotive aftermarket industry and highlight the introduction of SB 1320 (Hardy), the Nevada Right to Repair Act. Held March 6 at the legislative office building in Carson City, NV, on March 6, the event was co-sponsored by CAWA, the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA) and the Nevada Collision Industry Association (NCIA).

Online registration for the 2004 International Autobody Congress & Exposition (NACE) is now open. NACE 2004 will be held Nov. 3-6 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, during Automotive Aftermarket Industry Week (AAIW). Attendees can register online for the NACE Exposition and AAIW shows (SEMA and AAPEX), and also receive an early discounted NACE Congress Package (good until July 14th).
California Legislators to Attend Car Care Month Event in Sacramento
ASC, CAWA and NASCAR will join AAIA in recognizing April as National Car Care Month at a special event for California legislators, local media and area aftermarket representatives. A reception and private showing of the new “Experience NASCAR” movie at the IMAX theater near the state capitol is scheduled for April 13.
