Navistar’s South American Engine Subsidiary to Acquire Another Diesel Engine Company
Navistar International’s South American engine subsidiary, International Engines South America, has agreed to acquire MWM Motores Diesel Ltda (MWM), a major Brazilian diesel engine producer. Owned by the Thiele family, MWM began operations in Brazil in 1953. The company is headquartered and has manufacturing operations in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Delphi Brings its OE Ignition Wire Sets to the Independent Aftermarket
Delphi Corp. announced this week it is expanding its original equipment engine management offering to the independent aftermarket with the addition of ignition wire sets. The initial offering includes the 42 highest volume part numbers, covering 20 percent of the vehicles on the road in North America.

U.S. lighting manufacturer Grote Industries has announced a major new joint venture agreement with European lighting leader Rinder Group of Spain. The new company will be called Luxi and will based its operations out of Guernica, Spain, and Madison, Ind. The company is QS-9000, ISO-14001 and TS-16949 certified and has manufacturing plants in Toronto and Waterloo Canada, as well as in Monterrey, Mexico.
