TI Automotive, a supplier of fluid storage and delivery systems for cars and trucks, has opened a manufacturing plant in Turkey.

Pep Boys to Supply Independent Tire Dealers Group

Pep Boys has formed a supply arrangement with the Independent Tire Dealers Group (ITDG) to supply aftermarket hard parts, shop equipment and tires to the group’s 260 members. Pep Boys will supply the Independent Tire Dealers Group through its auto parts delivery business known as Pep Express Parts (PEP).

Goodyear to Report 2003 4Q Results on May 19

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. said it would report fourth quarter 2003 financial results, plus details of its restatement of financial results for the years 1999-2003 on Wednesday, May 19. The report will be followed by an investor conference call at 9 a.m. Robert Keegan, chairman and CEO, and Robert Tieken, executive vice president and CFO, will participate in the conference call. They will also provide an outlook for the first quarter of 2004.

As part of an effort to strengthen its position as a major supplier in the automotive aftermarket, Corteco, the aftermarket business of Freudenberg-NOK, has acquired Precision Automotive Industries (PAI), a Burnsville, Minn.-based supplier of bearings and seals. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
