BASF Canada has added a new product – Onyx HD – to its popular R-M brand. Onyx HD is a high-performance, environmentally compliant waterborne automotive refinish coating that meets upcoming Canadian environmental regulations. Safer to use than solvent-based products, Onyx HD tinting bases also have no shelf-life limitations and will not freeze, according to BASF.

BASF Sponsors Automotive Educational Day

BASF Automotive Refinish Solutions recently cooperated with Autorama and the International Show Car Association (ISCA), which sanctions the largest group of indoor car shows produced in the United States and Canada, to host an educational day for Michigan area students who participate in automotive classes. Eilenberger Named BASF Marketing Director

BASF Automotive Refinish Solutions has appointed Darlene Eilenberger to marketing director, NAFTA. Eilenberger replaces Guy Bargnes, who has accepted the position of national sales director for the Refinish group. Eilenberger has been with BASF Automotive Refinish for 28 years, most recently as brand marketing manager, where she was the chief architect of the Refinish group’s North American strategic marketing plan. Eilenberger was also responsible for brand strategy and p rod uct management of BASF Refinish paint lines, including Glasurit, R-M and Limco.
