Modine Announces President’s Initiative for Energy Conservation

Modine Manufacturing Co. is launching an aggressive new initiative designed to eliminate waste, prevent pollution, reduce operating costs and conserve resources. The program, called the President’s Initiative for Energy Conservation, will take place at Modine’s 35 manufacturing facilities worldwide. This initiative not only targets reduction of on-site emissions of greenhouse gases from fuel consumption, but also extends to reducing emissions from utilities that supply Modine with electricity.

House Bill Would Target Non-Compliant Products

To help deter the import of automotive and other products that falsely claim compliance with federal or industry safety standards, Representatives Sander Levin, (D-Mich.) and Dave Camp, (R-Mich.), have sponsored H.R. 4152, which would make unlawful the importation, sale for importation or sale within the U.S. after importation, of products falsely labeled or advertised as meeting a U.S. government or industry performance or safety standard. The bill would amend Section 337 of America’s trade law, a section well known by aftermarket companies who have used the law against imports that infringe upon their trademarks, patents and other intellectual property rights.

Shell Racing Solutions Announces Distribution Agreement

Shell Racing Solutions has signed an agreement with Performance Products LLC to distribute Shell Racing Fuels to the U.S. motorsports industry. Performance Products has 15 years of experience in the U.S. race fuels business. Performance Products has serviced professional race series such as Indy Racing League (IRL) and Championship Auto Racing Teams (CART) and will distribute Shell Racing Solutions race fuels to top tier, as well as grassroots and club racing circuits.
